Christmas is truly here!

Before I forget, it's Christmas! Yes, the wonder of festive cheer has hit Second Life and you can easily spend an hour each day running between advent calendars seeing what your prize is that day. And today is a good day on two counts! Now I like aDORKable but it must be said a lot of their advent poses are slightly feminine - which makes sense, there are a lot more women out there doing the rounds than men, but today gave a powerful dynamic striding pose!

Over at 22769 they realise that I'm actually not that powerful or dynamic, but they are one of the best unisex advents around, so today's offering of some warming mesh mittens is both sufficiently masculine and very handy. It's hard to pretend you're powerful and dynamic whilst shivering let me tell you.

Yet, the biggest news of the day isn't free advent gifts - nope, it's the best answer to Black Friday the grid has ever seen. To celebrate 5 years of having the popular ASS in SL the madman that is Pho has launched RAINBOW WEEK! Yes, every day for a week this man will wander around his store knocking 50% off all the items of a certain colour. And you need to remember ASS sells pretty much everything - make-up, jewellery, underwear, outerwear, furnture, and skyboxes (probably more too but I'm hoping I won't get scolded for forgetting those). The man is completely daft - not least because I know who gave him the idea in the first place...

A:S:S 5 year anniversary Rainbow Sale!

And what better way to celebrate a rainbow sale with... well actually one of the least colourful photos I've ever taken for a blogpost...

December 8th shopping madness!

It's not my fault though! Today is white and beige you see, and I had the grey mittens from 22769, and their virtually white Winter Tent from a couple of days back too. And well, when I went rummaging in my ASS I pulled out this Gerard shirt in white! And it is white, not cream, don't argue.

I also have this cool long kilt in brown. Now I can tell you're wondering why I'm wearing brown on a White/Beige day? Because brown is tomorrow! Keep up. I'm trying to get ahead, it's Christmas ya know, time is precious! I mean seriously, at least some of you won't read this until it's Sunday anyway so go with it.

So this week, don't forget to make an ASS stop on your advent rounds. They may not be free but 50% off? Not to be sneezed at! Talking of which, I'm standing in a blizzard wearing a kilt and a silk shirt - those mittens may be good but there's a limit, I'm going before I freeze myself into a sickbed!

Almost there!

Something that is making me a little less bloggy than usual is the idea of newness. You see, I've become addicted to the 18th century! Sure, I had a brief flirtation with some bacon covered antlers, but basically I'm just changing my stockings and fluffing my frilly shirts lately. It's addictive! Granted, we're talking of an era in history when people thought nothing of caking their faces with so much arsenic they poisoned themselves into a stylish grave so perhaps clothes of that period have crystal meth woven into them. It would explain the need for so many wooden false teeth back then...

Anyway, I digress in a very digressing manner. I can't blog new while being so old fashioned, surely. Or can I?

Verily I can! The future is bright, the future is 1723! (I plucked it at random, it was actually a reasonably uneventful year in the grander scheme of things. But Vivaldi composed Four Seasons and we seem to have them all in a single day lately so I'm sticking with it.) But I digress, again. The point of this rambling red wine infused fun is that next week sees The 18th Century Fair! Becalm your merriment!

Now as a court gentleman I cannot expect too much. But I have been informed of something. A:S:S Decades will be there! A swanky aqua shade for the delightful Orleans breeches and vest is apparently in the works. Now obviously I can't wear partially stitched outfits, you never know when a seam will part and scare a chambermaid, but I was lounging around admiring myself in my set of Orlean creamwear earlier in the week so I thought I'd excitedly whip it out and share.

Orleans Cream

I'm not just blogging current, I'm blogging next week! And I'm still ~300 years late...

Don't forget the bacon

Oh yes, this is Two Girls and A Brit isn't it. I should probably stick my British nose in now I think of it...

So yes, I am a sometimes blogger. Honestly, I can't be trusted with my own one since I am truly awful at time management to do anything useful with one. Actually, I do have one all by myself. It gets even less attention than when I feel guilty about leaving everything to others. But I'm (vaguely) serious over at my friend Marg's blog. So I thought I might be a little more self-indulgent here. Who knows, we'll see what voice I find. But for now, I've said hello and I'm going to kick back and relax in the best way I know - with a big comfy chair and some bacon!

A-Brit-Of-Bacon

That's me! I tend not change a great deal, so you should have an idea of what's being added and taken away. I would've shown nipple but to be honest, I think we'd all rather see the bacon.

ANOTHER SWEET HUNT!

My wonderful little store, Background Check Textures, is in ANOTHER super-sweet hunt!!!  The Noir Nights Hunt kicked off April 9 and runs until the end of the month.  Jessicah Spyker did a supreme job of getting some very talented vendors for this go-round.  Starting location is Kabuki Creations.  ***CAUTION**** Adult material ahead.  As the name implies....this is a sexy/adult hunt.  Here are my PERSONAL highlights from the hunt!  *Unless otherwise noted, all backgrounds are from our store gift!*

So secret, so taboo, so fun!  Kabuki Creations is offering a scintillating animated pose called "Sweet BJ"....mmmmmm!  It pairs perfectly with the background prop offered by PNP.  It's a wonderful, darkly sexy outdoor corner with a very cute table and chairs.  My only complaint, is that there are no animations built into the furniture.  Overall, it's a very fun, sexy build!  Also pictured from the hunt, is a dress from 20.FIVE.....Tank Dress - Black.

Once again Lyrieal's puts out an absolutely gorgeous hunt gift.  This formal, red gown is GORGEOUS!  Well done!  Also pictured, X-Clusives Animations pose, Kissin' U....a very soft, loving, sweet animation.  And all for 0L!!!!

::Wet Cat:: Builds and Poses has a very fun pose/prop offered for their gift.  An old-time street lamp with a slightly risque pose...totally carnal, totally erotic!  Makes for a great pic!

Marilyn....the quintessential sexpot, bombshell, goddess!  Such a timeless beauty, a woman of REAL proportions, and taken from us way before her time.  The sexy little number pictured with her is from Rockoil.  It's a fun, flirty party dress.  Perfect for a little noir fun!

Another fun pose!!!  Yay for photographers!  This one comes from Bound & Bitten.  It's called "Lovers Rain - Open Mouth Kiss"....a soft, sweet, fun animated pose!

One of the flirtiest, sexiest dresses comes from ! Ostentatious....It is called "Flirtatious" and the hunt color is a fabulous beige.  Paired with a flowered lamp post from Echoes Of The Past.....Such a cute pic.

This last stunning gown is from Spyralle.  The Gosamer Peacock Gown is that perfect shade of green......sexy, semi-transparent, and absolutely gorgeous!

This is a very high-quality hunt and I totally recommend it to anyone!

Happy Hunting!

Super Natural Hunt 3

OMG!!!!  What a fun hunt!  Looking for the odd, the strange, the different....this is totally it!  Some amazing designers have come together to offer some really great stuff....costumes, furniture, avatars, home decor....there's a little something for everyone!  If you're anything like me, you do hunt after hunt, filling your inventory with mediocre, at best, clothing items that you're NEVER going to wear.....THIS IS NOT THAT TYPE OF HUNT!  My little Store Background Check Textures is in the hunt too!  Lyrilen really outdid herself with these!  I loved pairing them up with other gifts from the hunt!  Now....in no particular order.....MY FAVES!!!

This stunning, gothy, vampy, sexy dress is the gift at Cero Style.  The spider web on the back is way fun!  I also picked up a very pretty, silver Guardian Angel necklace from The Jewellry Exchange.  The skin from ~PixyStix~ is the perfect final touch.  It comes with a male and female version, and make-up options for both.

This crazy hooved outfit is called Succubus.  You can pick this up at Pretty Kitties!  I've never rocked hooves before, but I kinda like these.  The ears and horns just make it that much better!

Come have a seat in hell, my darling!  hahaha  This saucy little giftie from [Revenant] comes in a black and a white version, so you can be Naughty or Nice!  The boots are totally out of my norm, but I love them with this outfit!

The Goth Popcorn Chair at Bound & Bitten, is one of the best finds there is!!!  LMAO  Perfect for those situations when the drama erupts!  I'm in love!

THIS.....last but not least, is my most favoritest find of them all!  It is the Fairy-topia Scenery from Xenian Furniture Store!  It is a small, mystical, fantasy landscape full of pose options.  Great for pics!  I coulda played with it all night!  One of the BEST hunt gifts I have ever received!  So pretty!

All hunt information, store lists, and hints can be found on the Super Natural Hunt 3 web-site http://supernatural-hunt.blogspot.com/

I hope you enjoy our hunt gifts as much as I did! Background Check is in many hunts, so take a peek around the store while you're there and make sure to find them all!  If you like what you see, visit us inworld, or browse our store on marketplace

Happy hunting!
